'Born Dead' Upcycled Vest
Sustainable and completely one-of-a-kind, this upcycled art vest can make any outfit 60% cooler.
Created from a second-hand denim vest, thrifted purple mesh fabric, and scraps of discarded t-shirt fabric. It has been bleached and decorated with hand-painted patches, fabric panels, handmade button badges with my original artworks, and small spike studs on the shoulders. All sewing has been lovingly hand stitched over many hours.
The wide cropped style and large arm holes make it very flexible size-wise. I would size it as a loose fit Ladies S-M perfect for wearing over a hoodie in cooler weather, but on it’s own it could easily fit a larger body type, especially if left undone at the front.
Flat Garment Measurements:
Length (mid-shoulder to hem): 45cm
Width (widest point, buttoned up): 50cm
Care instructions:
- Gentle hand wash
- Air dry in the shade
- Avoid creasing painted areas
- If ironing, use low heat and cover painted areas with baking paper to avoid sticking
